Juniper Dunlap died on September 5, 2024 at UC Health in Aurora, Colorado. She was 32. Juniper received a heart transplant at the age of 7 at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado on September 5, 1999. She lived a full and happy life that included outdoor activities and shopping. She attended Fort Washakie School and received her high school diploma at Lander Valley High School. She was employed by Lander Community Entry Services and participated in Special Olympics. Juniper had a competitive spirit. She competed in bowling, snowshoeing, swimming, track, and basketball. Juniper worked at Lander Recycling Center and recently attended activities at the Northern Center Inc, Lander and Simply Supports in Riverton. Her family travels included a memorable visit to the Oregon Coast to see the Pacific Ocean and a Wyoming Make A Wish Foundation trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. She went on many family hunting and fishing trips. Her most recent trip was fly fishing with her dad where she proudly caught her own fish. Her parents are Tom and Adrienne Dunlap of Fort Washakie. In addition to her parents, she received love and support from her home providers Tom and Kelly Norwood. She is survived by her parents, sisters Tetona (Karlin) children, Everly, Karlin Jr., Kaelynn Goss of Missoula, MT. Sister Michelle Dunlap (John) her sons Jace and Dana Lock. Uncles John (Kelly) Pingree, James (Mary Ellen) Pingree, Chester (Vicky) Pingree, Aunts Donita (Bob) King of Nevada City California, Leilani Dunlap (Mike) of Phoenix Oregon. Grandmother Katherine Shakespeare, other family members from Fort Washakie, Pingree, Hill, Wesaw, McCloud, Shakespeare, Weeks, Bell, Nora, Clair, Wagon, Weed, Aoah, Bonatsie, Track, Shoyo, St.Clair, Zedora (Alan) Enos, Audrey Ward. Family of Lindsey, Smith, King, Dunlaps from Oregon, Hawaii, California. Proceeding her in death are grandparents Donald and Saundra Dunlap, Chester and Irene Pingree, Uncles Shawn and Daniel Dunlap, Cousin John Pingree Jr. We apologize for any names that were missed during this time.
The funeral service will occur at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander (680 Mount Hope Drive, Lander, WY 82520).
