Julia Marget Wilkinson was born on November 23, 1957 to John T. (JT) and Barbara Larremore Wilkinson while they resided on the Red Canyon Ranch outside Lander, Wyoming. She graduated from Lander Valley High School and spent most of her adult life in Lander.
Early on, she lived in Pinedale and designed floral arrangements; Julia also spent a year in
Prescott, AZ with her dad and daughter.
Julia was a long-time employee at the Fremont County Courthouse until retirement. Prior to
that, she worked in elementary and preschools for many years and absolutely loved spending time with elementary-aged students.
Julia was artistically creative and talented at painting, crafts, etc. She also loved animals, trying out new cooking recipes, and playing board games.
She enjoyed playing softball and volleyball in her youth and graduated to disc golf in her later years. She looked forward to NCAA March Madness and filling out her bracket. She followed Wyoming Football and was a long-time Denver Broncos fan, but she picked up the Buffalo Bills when they drafted Josh Allen from the University of Wyoming.
In the last couple years of her life, Julia lived in Gooding, ID recovering from an illness. She
continued to live in Gooding until her death on Christmas Day, 2023. She was 66 years of age.
Julia is survived by her daughter, Darci Petersen, her brother, Brad (Laurel) Wilkinson, and half-brother, Jason Larremore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bethany Thompson, and brother Bart
Wilkinson.
