Julia May Ramsey
A Public Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2014, 9 – 11 a.m. at Hudson's Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. also in Hudson's Funeral Home. Burial will then be in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Julia (Judy) May Ramsey was born on December 28, 1939 to Laura Owens and Helmoth Bucholz in Naper Nebraska. She married her best friend and soulmate, Ross DuVal Ramsey. From this union three beautiful children were born; Walter Ross Ramsey, Valorie Lynn Ratliff, married to John, and Patricia Lynn Granlund, married to Eric.
Judy passed on Saturday April 12, 2014 at her home in the arms of her loving husband after a brave battle with multiple illnesses.
Judy enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting and she enjoyed her calling as a Temple Missionary in Utah and Montana. She also treasured the time she and Ross spent doing missionary work at Six Crossing and Martin's Cove. She also donated her time to the Auxiliary at the Lander Regional Hospital. Her heart was most alive when she was surrounded by her family; especially her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Ross, son, Walter and daughters Valorie and Patty and their husbands. Sisters include, Ellen Sparks, Karen O'Brien and Sharon Brooks. As well as Grandchildren, Trina Slinkard, Jason Ramsey, Jeremy Ramsey,Stephanie Ratliff, Jessica Hill and Taylor Hill. Great Grandchildren; Ayden Ramsey, Amelia Ramsey, Hannah Ramsey, Kendall Kramer, Justice Kramer and Alexia Kramer. Other close family include; Chuck and Gina Story, Gail and Janet Folston and numerous nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Shirley Holt, brother Robert Owens and sisters-in-law, Patricia Wilson and Coleen Story.
Donations may be made in her honor to The Auxiliary at Lander Regional Hospital, 1320 Bishop Randall Dr, Lander, WY.
