Judy Ann Carpenter

Judy Ann Carpenter, a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the age of 74. She is now reunited for eternity with her beloved husband, Charley, who preceded her in death on March 23, 2018.

Born on November 7, 1950, in Thermopolis, Wyoming, Judy was the daughter of the late Ray Englehart and Maxine (Good) Goodell. She spent the majority of her life in Lander, Wyoming, where she devoted herself to her family and community with love, compassion, and a generous heart.

Judy and Charley shared 46 wonderful years of marriage, creating a home filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support. Though Charley's passing left a deep void, Judy faced the years that followed with grace and strength, holding close the memories they made and the family they built together.

Those who knew Judy will remember her for her patriotism, her infectious laugh, her love for animals, and her selfless spirit. She was actively involved in her community, giving her time and energy to organizations such as the Wyoming National Guard Family Support Group, the Women's Bowling League, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Lander Rural Fire Department.

More than anything, Judy treasured her time with family and friends. Her presence was a source of warmth and comfort, and her love for those close to her was evident in everything she did.

She is survived by her loving son, James (Christie), and was a proud grandmother to her two grandchildren, Taylor and Aiden. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Judy's legacy of love, strength, and community spirit lives on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed — and lovingly remembered — as she rests in eternal peace with Charley by her side once more.

The memorial service will be held at Hudson's Funeral Home (680 Mount Hope Dr., Lander, WY 82520) on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
