Judith Ann Rogers

Judith Ann Rogers, or “Judy”, age 82, passed away on August 31, 2026, at her home in Lander, Wyoming. She was born in Revere, Massachusetts, on October 5, 1943, to Walter B. Rogers and Martha I. OBrien.

Judy graduated from Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She went on to earn a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Salem State College in Salem, Massachusetts. In 1975, Judy began teaching elementary school in Lander, Wyoming, and she continued to teach for 27 years. Reading was very important to Judy. She passed this love of reading on to countless students throughout the years. While reading was Judy’s passion, she also loved cats. Her house contained many cat-themed ornaments, pictures, and collectibles.

Judy is survived by her brother, Walter (Deborah) Rogers; her two nieces, Sandy Torres and Laura Rogers; and her great-nephews, Mark and Jake Torres.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2026, in The Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home, 680 Mount Hope Drive, Lander, Wyoming 82520. Visitation will take place before the Funeral at 9:00 am in the Funeral Home. Judy will be interred at Mount Hope Cemetery, Lander, Wyoming.
