Juanita (Nita) Virden Obituary

Juanita "Nita" Virden, 84, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026.Nita was born in Ogden, Utah, on October 26, 1941, to Harold and Violet Burton. She grew up in Evanston and spent most of her life in Lyons Valley (Lander) Wyoming, a community she called home.

In 1968, Nita married the love of her life, James Edward "Ed" Virden. Together, they built a ranch, and loving life with their children, Amy and Jud.Nita will be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and the warmth she shared with those around her. 

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.Nita was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her daughter, Amy; her parents, Harold and Violet Burton; and her siblings, John and Loretta.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in- law Jud & Andrea Virden, her Sister-in-law Carolyn, along with family and friends who will cherish her memory and carry her love with them.

At Nita's request, there will be no services held.Nita's life was woven into the lives of so many, and her memory will remain a treasured part of the family she loved.
