Joseph F. Palmeno, of Hudson WY passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at his home. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, October 13th at the Chapel of Mount Hope Hudson's Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will begin at 10:00am on Friday, October 14th at the Chapel of Mount Hope in Hudson's Funeral Home.

Joseph F. Palmeno was born on June 4, 1935 in Rockford Illinois to Anthony Francis and Margarette Marian Palmeno. He married Teresa Elizabeth Aumann on August 6, 1955 in Rockford, Illinois. After coming to Lander to visit relatives, they decided to move their family to Lander in 1968; where they raised all five of their children. He was loved by all his family and friends.

After moving to Wyoming, he worked for Rudy Herbst
Construction, then Vern Meller Construction; working on the road known as the Switch Backs in Sinks Canyon. He then worked at Cox's Gas Station before purchasing Chevron gas station on 6th and main in Lander. Then later it was known as Palmeno's, with his wife and son, Jeff, by his side. He served on the Lander City Council.

Joe loved to travel with his wife of 60 years; and one of his favorite places was Alaska. He enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting in which he instilled in his children.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa; his daughter, Tina Salas; parents, Anthony and Margarette Palmeno; brothers, Richard, Jim, and Anthony Palmeno; sister-in-law, Joyce Davis; brother-in-laws, Vincent Aumann, Raymond Aumann, David Aumann, and Don Aumann.

Joseph F. Palmeno is survived by his children, Toni McDonald, Jeff Palmeno, Sherri Palmeno (Mike Kappus), Ardis and Ryan Spoonhunter, and son-in-law Rudy Salas; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Maculan of Rockford Ill; Sister-In-Laws, Jan Aumann of Rockford Ill., JaneAumann of Boonton NJ; brother-in-law, Arlen Aumann of Rockford Ill.; cousin, Milt Aumann; and his beloved pet Tonto.

Memorials may be made to donor's choice; preferably his wishes were to love your family and take them fishing, hunting and camping.
