John Allen Welch

Mar 23, 1962 — Jul 10, 2026

JOHN ALLEN WELCH ~ Passed on to glory peacefully on July 10th 2026. Born March 23rd 1962 he is survived by his sister Rhonda Kay Welch-Curry, and Niece Jeanie Simon-Cathcart, and Nephew Jacob-John Hoblit, and daughter Jessi Entel with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Mother Kathryn Jean Davison-Reddon & his Dad Ronald Albert Welch.

In his school days, John was better known as a great basketball player, he had been awarded an All-Star basketball scholarship. Unfortunate events ended the basketball career abruptly, even so, his love for sports continued. You would find him at the horse races, or local sporting events.

John always enjoyed a simple life. He was a good friend, friendly to all and a hard worker. He recently retired from public service, he enjoyed working with people. When not working, he spent most of his time outdoors, he loved the mountains; hunting and especially fishing. He was so looking forward to a healing journey so he could enjoy retirement. More unfortunate events continued him throughout his days. Even though, he just continued the fight to carry on to the very end.

His home away from home has always been the Continental divide area of Atlantic City South Pass where he grew up many of his days with his sister and grandparents John and Helen Davison. He was crafty with his hands making many things from wood. John, was so strong, brave and held a kind heart, those who knew him best knew this of him.

John will be missed dearly by his family & friends.
