John H. Federer III, 64, general contractor and long-time resident of the Lander area, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at his home, after a short battle with cancer.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 18, at Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander.
John Henry Federer III was born in Cheyenne on Jan. 31, 1948, the son of Ruby and John Federer.
He lived in Lander for the majority of his life, residing for a short time in Canada. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Federer is survived by his wife, Kitty Federer of Lander; three children, Marci Bieber and husband Keith of Peoria, Ariz., John "Buddy" Federer IV of Lander, and Renee Beckmann and husband Jim of Saratoga; four step-children, Marcus Clouser and his wife Frangle of Las Vegas, Nev., Marcy Holford and husband John of Lander, Dale Clouser, Jr., of Laramie, and Cory Clouser of Lander; eight grandchildren, Kaitlen and Dylan Bieber, Isaac and Treidon Federer, Alicia Clouser, Seth and Shane Beckman, and Zane Holford; siblings, Gary Tallman of California, Jenne Hessling of Utah, and Bonnie Miller of Wyoming; many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Federer, and nephews, Denny Ashley and Kenny Pauli.
