John "Jack" Erwin Call

John Erwin Call, known to all as Jack, 86, of Lander, Wyoming, went into the presence of his Savior on March 9, 2025.
He was born on September 9, 1938, in Medina, Ohio, to Erv and Alice Call. He graduated from Medina High School and Ohio State University.
Jack used his biology degree while working for the U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Erv and Alice Call, and his sister, Jill, and brother-in-law, Tom Lincoln. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Lander, Wyoming; sons Andrew (Charolette) Call of Fairborn, Ohio, and Daniel Call of San Diego, California. Jack is also survived by three grandchildren: Abigail (Benjamin) Geist of Xenia, Ohio; Amanda (David) Esgar of Lafayette, Indiana; and MSgt Charles Call of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; as well as six great-grandchildren: Alexis Esgar, Daniel Esgar, Weston Esgar, Solomon Geist, Samson Geist, and Asa Geist; and a brother, Mark (Barbara) Call of Ashland, Ohio.

Jack enjoyed hunting, hiking, backpacking, mountain climbing, fishing, gardening, and reading.
He received Jesus as his Savior at a young age and was a long-time member of Lander Valley Baptist Church.

A time to celebrate his life will be held at Lander Valley Baptist Church on March 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with calling hours from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
His final resting place will be at the Medina Center Cemetery in Ohio.
