John Joseph Cardine Sr, age 62, passed away on February 28, 2014. He was born on October 10, 1951, to Joseph and Janice Cardine in Laramie, Wyoming. He is survived by his son John Jr., Jamie (wife), and grand-daughter Allyson of Lander, Wyoming. Other surviving relatives include his sister Susan Cardine of La Quinta, California, and his sister Lisa Ragsdale, John (husband) and Sydney (niece) of Kansas City, Kansas.
John attended Dean Morgan Junior High and Natrona Country High School. He was employed for many years by Marathon Oil, Albertsons in Casper, and thereafter helped out for several years at Peaches restaurant. He was a very friendly, gregarious person and had friends all over Casper. He wished anyone he met to "Have a good one."
John lived in Lander WY briefly at Showboat Retirement Center. He enjoyed riding his bike around town, shopping, and volunteered at the Lander Pet Connection.
John spent his recent years at the Poplar Living Center where he enjoyed all activities (especially Bingo), attended all parties and Sunday services. He helped out with the garden and assisted the staff in any way he could. He built a special relationship with one of the other residents, Opal. John's family wishes to thank everyone at the Poplar Living Center for making John's last years such a pleasant time for him.
John touched all who met him in a special way and he will always be remembered.
A memorial service will be scheduled some time this coming summer.
