Jay Dee Perkins

Jay Dee Perkins of Lander, Wyo., passed away on June 2, 2023, at the age of 75. Jay was born in Greybull, Wyo., on May 20, 1948, and grew up in Greybull with his parents D.H. Perkins and Helen Carey Perkins Dodge. After graduating from Greybull High School and the University of Utah, he served in the U.S. Navy on submarines for 24 years. He attended many schools while in the Navy, and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. His favorite hobbies were woodcarving and photography, and he blessed many people around the Lander valley with his skilled creations. Jay was preceded in death by his daughter Angela, who passed away due to lung cancer in June 2021. He is survived by three other daughters, Judene, Jennifer, and Jill, as well as his seven grandchildren and his wife, Linda. There will be no funeral or memorial service.
