James Franklin Kincaid

James Franklin Kincaid, 90, of Lander Wyoming passed away on April 28, 2017. At his request no services will be held. James Franklin Kincaid was born in Fort Collins, Colorado to parents Edward Kincaid and Ida Buckendorf. Jim was fostered by A.H. Pierce of Eden Valley, Wyoming at the age of 13. After high school graduation, Jim joined the Navy in 1944, and served during World War II in the Admiralty Islands in the South Pacific theater. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a life-long member of both the American Legion and the VFW. Jim was a heavy equipment operator, held several ranch jobs, and retired from US Steel in 1982 near Atlantic City, Wyoming after 20 years of service. Jim married Gloria Loisate of Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1947 and they moved to Lander, Wyoming. Jim is survived by his son Jack Kincaid and four grandchildren--Cora Gist, Misti Kincaid, Aaron Hancock, and Josh Taylor.
