James Wyrick Jr., 65, gained his angel wings after a 2-year battle with cancer in Lone Tree, Colorado. James was born to James and Betty (Hastings) Wyrick in Radford, Virginia. Throughout his lifetime Jim had several careers including being an aide, a security guard at Wyoming State Training School, a police officer in Thermopolis, Wyoming, a sheriff deputy in Maricopa County, Arizona, and a dispatcher for the Lander Police Department. He also had a short stint truck driving. However, later he pursued his love for aviation starting with his attendance at Colorado Aero Tech, after which he became an aviation mechanic. Jim worked for several wonderful companies but ended his career with Jet Linx at Centennial Airport, Colorado, as a ruby-certified aviation tech. His work was his passion. He enjoyed working every day with his Jet Linx and Centennial Airport family. Jim loved his family so much—he was our angel and protector. He always had time to talk or help any of us, with anything, we will all miss our Saturday and Sunday phone calls!!
