James "Jim" Bell

Jim Bell, 65, passed away suddenly on October 16, 2026.

Jim spent his school years in Toledo, Ohio. He attended Mercy College of Nursing, graduating in 1984. Jim’s first nursing job was at Pine Ridge Hospital in Lander, Wyoming. His love for the area kept him in Lander, where he remained until his passing.

Jim loved being outdoors. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and playing baseball. Later in life, he learned to play pickleball, which became his true love.

Jim married Carol Kelly on August 9, 1991. In 1993, they welcomed their son, Jared. Jim was very involved in every sport and activity Jared participated in and, at times, was even able to help coach some of his games.

Jim is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Jared (Kamrin); brother, Michael (Kitty); sister, Tammy (Ray); stepmother-in-law, Alice; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lola Bell, as well as both sets of grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will take place on June 12, 2027.
