Isaiah Jerome Holmes

Isaiah Jerome Patrick Holmes, age 20, departed this life on May 10, 2024. He was born to Dr. Jeremy and Jacinta Holmes in Milwaukee, WI.

He is survived by his parents, his brothers: David and Matthew Holmes of Lander WY; his sisters, Bernadette Rioux (Michel) of Lewiston ME, Regina, Teresa, Faustina, Xenia, and Hope Holmes of Lander WY.

He is also survived by a niece, Elizabeth of Lewiston, ME, his maternal grandparents, Frank and Theresa Bolin of Lander, and his paternal grandparents, Leon and Susan Holmes of Little Rock, AR.

He is also survived by a large number of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Isaiah finished his freshman year at Wyoming Catholic College on the day he passed away. His life was changing rapidly, so no one knows what he might have become; he chose the confirmation name "Patrick" because he desired a radical conversion like Patrick's. But as we knew him, he loved being home with his family; his favorite books were Tolkien's The Silmarilion and The Lord of the Rings; he enjoyed computer programming and hard physical labor; he liked writing and had a gift for it. Isaiah loved logical deductions to the absurd.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lander, WY.

The schedule for the funeral services for Isaiah Holmes is as follows:

Thursday, May 16

7:00 p.m.      Arrival of the body at Holy Rosary Church

7:30 p.m.      Trisagion Prayers for the Departed, followed by

Recitation of the Rosary

Friday, May 17

8:00 a.m.     Divine Liturgy at the Byzantine Chapel

11 a.m.        Funeral service at Holy Rosary Church followed by burial at Mount

Hope Cemetery (This will take approximately two hours.  Please be  aware that the Divine Liturgy is NOT part of the funeral service.)
