Irwin Cecil Tindall of Fort Hall Idaho started his journey to the other side early on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Irwin Cecil Tindall was born to Ruby Coopooie and Charles Tindall on February 24, 1950, in Fort Washakie WY. He grew up on the Wind River Reservation at North Fork and Mill Creek Area. He moved to Denver Colorado and spent the majority of his adolescent years there, later moving to Fort Hall Idaho where he lived out the remainder of his years.
He was a member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe. Irwin was fluent in the Shoshone Language. He was baptized into the Shoshone- Episcopal Church. He did not have any children of his own, but he sure loved seeing his relatives when he got to see them. He enjoyed watching football & basketball, attending pow-wows, and watching Indian relays. He always had a good attitude and a warm smile to follow.
Irwin Cecil Tindall is survived by his sisters, Flora Tillman of Boulder Flats, Verdalean Ennis of Casa Grande, Arizona, Venita Devinney, Letta Brown Aoah, and nieces, Audria Pretty Flower Tindall, Larrisscia Tindall, Autumn Tindall of Casa Grande, Arizona, Lajuana St. Clair, Kennet McLeod of Colorado, Carlita (Jaun)Rodriguez of Fort Hall Idaho, Wanda Harris of South Dakota, Caye Harris Medicine Cloud of Riverton Wyoming, Nephews: Vernon Tillman Sr, Clinton (Rubena) Tillman, Tom (Patsy) Tillman, Jerry (Cindy Fisher) Tillman, Darrell McLeod, Cassey Tindall, Josh (Tova) Tindall, Raymond Harris III, Numerous cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Irwin Cecil Tindall was preceded in death by mother Ruby Coopooie of Fort Hall Idaho, Father Charles Tindall & step mother Evelyn McLeod Tindall of Fort Washakie Wy, and his sisters: Sannette Tindall McGill, Mary Harris, Eldra Denise Tindall, Karen Jean McLeod, Aleta "Atlas" McLeod, Elaine Mc Leod, Brothers: Edmond Tindall Luwayne "Coy" Tindall and Philbert McLeod, Tossa Brown nephews, Ryan Neil McLeod, Marty Tillman, granddaughters, Brianna Harris Brugh; Grandson; Javon Tillman, Great-Grandsons Robert Tillman Jr., Kayden Tillman, Great-granddaughter; Evalette Tillman, Uncles; Clarence Tindall, aunts; Lanell Fisher, Issabell Wesaw, Mary Tindall Brown, niece; Sonya McGill. The wake will take place at St. David's Church-Shoshone Episcopal Mission (189 Trout Creek Rd., Fort Washakie, WY 82514) at 7:00 P.M. with the all-night wake following at 9:00 P.M. at Flora Tillman's residence (6764 Hwy 287, Lander, WY 82520).
The sunrise service will occur at sunrise (7:38 A.M.) on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Flora Tillman's Residence.
The funeral service will occur at St. David's Church-Shoshone Episcopal Mission at 10:00 A.M.
Interment will follow at Sacajawea cemetery.
