ImaGee Johnson died of natural causes on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 at Westward Heights Care Center in Lander, Wy, at the age of 100. She was born on April 26th, 1920 in Minco, Oklahoma to Anna and Gee Kendrick.

ImaGee was the youngest of three sisters and one brother. After High School in Carnegie Oklahoma, she attended a business college in Oklahoma City. She met her future husband, Charles. Charles got a job with Cessna Aircraft Co. in Wichita, Kansas and they moved there. Two years later ImaGee gave birth to their son Chuck. Charles was transferred to Burbank, California where Chuck grew up.

ImaGee could type 60 words per minute. She worked in the Central office of Burbank School District. Years later Charles transferred to New Milford, Connecticut where ImaGee worked in the office of Canterbury School and the office of the Mayor of New Milford. The couple retired to New Port Richey, Florida.

ImaGee loved to walk daily for the exercise. She was an excellent cook and loved to fix dinner or bake pies, cakes or cookies for friends. Her hobbies included playing bridge, embroidery, sewing and collecting seashells to glue to her crafts.

ImaGee was a volunteer at the museum in Tampa, the hospice office and her church in Florida. In Lander, she was a member of the United Methodist Church. She volunteered at the hospital gift shop and the Methodist Thrift Shop.

Charles and ImaGee loved to travel and went on fourteen ocean cruises all over the world. Charles passed away in 2003 (after 62 years of marriage) and ImaGee moved to Lander to be near Chuck and Lucinda.

ImaGee was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Ken and sisters Bunny, JayBee and Lorene.

She is survived by her son Chuck (Lucinda) Johnson, granddaughter Dessa (Morgan) Dale, and great grandsons Owen and Sam Dale, and nephew Stacy Stevens. A family graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Lander Senior Center or the Methodist Thrift Shop.
