Hermes Stanford Trumbull

Hermes Stanford "Stan" Trumbull, 71, of Ethete, WY passed away on November 28, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family in Mill Creek, WY.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, December 1, 2023 at Blue Sky Hall in Ethete, WY. A rosary will be held at 6:00pm Thursday, November 30, 2023 at St. Josephs Catholic Church. The wake to follow at the family residence at 814 Ethete Road in Ethete, WY.

Stan Trumbull was born on October 27, 1952. He is the son of Clarence Hermes "Buck" Trumbull & Anna Rita (Warren) Trumbull in Fort Washakie, WY. His Arapaho name was Hooxuucowoo'uut – Passing Through.

He had a strong belief in his Arapaho way of life and the Catholic faith.

He graduated from Wyoming Indian High School. In his younger years he was a cross country runner at Lander Valley High School.  Was a Sho-Rap Wild Land Firefighter for 16 seasons. Worked as a custodian for Northern Arapaho Tribal Housing & held various other jobs. He really loved to spend time with his family & especially his grandchildren, whom he helped raise. He enjoyed watching them in their sports activities & supported them every chance he got. He loved watching basketball, football, boxing, and his favorite TV shows.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Mary Trumbull & son Jordan Trumbull. Daughters, Katarina Trumbull & Jonielle(Keith) Trumbull. Sisters, Catherine and Carol Trumbull, & Christi Lindevald. Nephews, John Arneach(Aloysa), Aaron Lindevald. Nieces, Hattie Trumbull & Keri Lindevald. Aunt Valene Revere. Grandchildren: Kylaya and Wade Spoonhunter, Takara Ferris, Surae, Marysa, Amara, and Braylon Trumbull, Jayin Trumbull(Lexie), Jarrick Trumbull(Anna), Skyzon Mitchell, Savannah Arneach, Cassie IronCloud, Madi, Tsani, Andre, Khaleesi, Jionni Arneach, & Taryn & Keesha Spoonhunter. Great granddaughter, Zoey LeRae. Also, his god children, Missy Hutchinson & Brooke Ridgley.

Extended families of: Clark Trumbull Jr., Nora Trumbull Brown, Wanda Trumbull Spoonhunter, Irene Trumbull Tillman, Evangeline Warren Wallowingbull. Warren, Ridgley, Underwood, Whiteman, & Yellowplume families.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Hermes "Buck" Trumbull & Anna Rita (Warren) Trumbull. Brother Dean Trumbull and sister Geraldine Trumbull. Aunts, Geraldine Warren Brown, Loretta Warren Jones, Evangeline Warren Wallowingbull. Grandparents Clark Trumbull Sr and Hattie DancingKing Trumbull, Avon Threebulls. Cecelia Ridgley Warren and Gabriel Warren.
