Henry Busch was born on his parents farm near Lignite, North Dakota on July 29, 1922.
He grew up on that farm and graduated as Valedictorian form Lignite high school in
1939. He graduated with a degree in accounting from Minot State Teachers College in
1943 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After returning from the service, he and his brother Francis purchased a farm near Portal, ND. Henry and Eileen lived on the farm until 1966, when they moved to Minot, ND. They continued to farm the land until 1986. In 1972, he was recognized as Burke County North Dakota Farmer of the Year. They moved from Minot to Ames, IA and then to Lander, WY in 2006.
Henry is survived by his wife, five children; Dr. Mary (Wayne) Gregoire of Naperville, IL; Dr. Henry (Lisa) Busch of Faribault, MN; Rita (Mark) Peterson of Lander, WY; Paul
(Gail) Busch of Inver Grove Heights, MN; and John of Bellingham, WA, and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers. Henry was a fourth degree knight of the Knights of Columbus. The funeral will be held Thursday February 28 at 11:00am at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at 6pm followed by rosary at 7pm at Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson?s Funeral Home.
