Hazel Rasmussen Davey, 87, of Lander passed away on December 2, 2015 at the Nursing home in Riverton, Wyoming. A visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 6 at the Chapel of Mount Hope Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 7th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lander.
Hazel was born September 18, 1928 to Fred Guy Rasmussen and Lilly White Rasmussen in Park City, Utah.
Hazel married Dudley J. Davey and moved to Jeffery City, Wyoming; where she raised and took care of her children: Skipper Davey, Christine East, Georgene Gothard, Tammy Davey, Sandra Davey, Mary Lou Davey and Freddie Davey. She moved to Lander, Wyoming after her husband passed away. Hazel loved life and her family. She loved being a grandmother and loved to babysit her great-grandchildren. Hazel liked to quilt, embroider and teach her great-granddaughter Brielle. She loved flowers both indoor and out, fishing, camping and going for rides. She enjoyed her time with her visiting teachers Lenora Yardas and Betty Kail.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Marion Murdock; brother's Max Rasmussen and Garth Rasmussen; son, Michael Davey; husband, Dudley Davey; mother Lilly White Rasmussen and dad Fred Guy Rasmussen.
Survivors include brother, Jess Rasmussen of Riverton, Wyoming; sister, Grace Moore of La Point, Utah. Grandchildren, Shannon Gothard, Angela Davey, Tiffany Davey, Jessica East, Scott Davey, Chad Davey, Shaun Davey, Mindy Clancy, Yvette Gothard, Andrew Davey, Michael Davey, and Amanda Davey; great- grandchildren, Brielle Fryer, Landon Davey, Zayden Davey, Natalie Davey, Nathan Davey, Lilly Medorio, Elric Schlinke, Zion Davey, Quinten Davey, Abby Davey, McKenna Clancy, and Madison Clancy; and great-great-great granddaughter, Ayva Schlinke.
