Gerald Sage Sr., 73, of Ethete, journeyed home Tuesday, August 14th, 2012, in his home with family present.Funeral services will be at 10AM Friday, August 17th, 2012 at the family home, 436 Ethete Rd, Ethete, under the direction of Hudson's Funeral Home of Lander.Interment will follow at the Sage-Redman Cemetery. An evening service will begin at 7PM, Thursday, August 16th, 2012 also at the family home with a wake to follow.Gerald Sage Sr. was born November 6th, 1938 in Ft. Washakie, WY. Son of Joseph Sage and Hazel Trosper-Sage.He attended school at St. Michael's Mission, graduated from Lander Valley High and attended an electronic school in Oakland, California.Gerald Sage Sr. was a traditional man of the Northern Arapaho Tribe.He loved conversing in Arapaho.He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially his grand-children and great grand-children.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Naomi Sage, 4 sisters: Becky Sage, Cindy Winn, Arydenne Sage, Joetta Armour, 2 brothers: Byron Sage, Bill Sage, 2 aunts: Verna Thunder and Caroline Goggles, his children: Gerald Sage Jr. and wife Annie Sage, Celeste Sage and husband David Jumbo, Renee Sage, Ira Whiteplume, Faron Sage, Pete Dumcombe and wife Rhonda, 16 grand-children, 11 great grand-children, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and his traditional grandsons.He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
