Gary A Recob Sr.

Gary A Recob Sr. was born on May 26, 1940, in Wichita, Kansas. He departed this life on April 15, 2026.

Gary grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and moved to Estes Park, Colorado, at the age of 18 and met his wife, Benita Recob. They moved to Arvada, Colorado, and raised their three children there. Gary worked for Coors as a brewmaster for 32 years. In 2018, Gary moved to Riverton, Wyoming and made several close friends, including Millie Hoffmann, Rick Carrillo, and Cinthy Johnson. Gary loved retirement and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was fondly known as Popeye by Kyle, his youngest grandchild. He enjoyed teasing his granddaughter Kimber over who had the best home. Gary and Kimber moved into their homes one week apart from each other. He had a soft heart for four-legged furry friends. All who knew him loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred A. Recob, Jr., and Marietta Ruth Recob; sister, Dora Mae Cutshaw, and brother Ernest Recob.

Survivors include, former wife Benita Recob; son, Gary Recob Jr. and his wife Mary Ann Recob; daughter Julie Cornia and her husband Paul Cornia; son, Scott Recob and his wife Michaela Recob; niece Junilda Farner; three grandchildren; Josh Maple, Kimber Orona and her husband Juan Orona and Kyle Recob and his fiancee Krystal Carmona; three great grandchildren: Kason Maple, Mayple Recob, Maevy Recob and Maela Recob.
