Fred Hetzler embraced Jesus August 26, 2015 in his home in Lander, WY at the age of 77.
Fred was born in Rockland, PA to Joe and Irene Hetzler. He enjoyed hunting for 65 years. The last 7 years of hunting were spent in Lander, WY.He was noted for giving all his game to families in need.
He served in the Army from January 1961 to January 1963.He was a career gunsmith, commercial fisherman on the Pacific Coast, and master wood craftsman to name a few of his occupations.
His family says that Fred had the ability to fix anything. He had a brilliant mind and could figure out solutions to the most difficult of problems.
He is survived by his son, Joe Hetzler of Wilson, NC, daughter, Viva Hetzler of Lander and beloved grandson, Ryan Brown of Chicago.
Fred would agree that more important than any of his abilities or accomplishments was raising his daughter, Viva and grandson, Ryan.Fred leaves a legacy of faith in Jesus Christ as our one and only hope and the lasting impact of a giving heart which he often showed in actions rather than words.
