Francine Denise Shoyo, 53, of Fort Washakie, WY died on March 26, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Rocky Mountain Hall, Fort Washakie, WY. Wake will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Rocky Mountain Hall, Fort Washakie, WY.

Francine Denise Shoyo was born on December 27, 1971 to Frank Dennison Shoyo Jr and Ester Whatomy in Lander WY.

Fran was raised by her aunt, Zita, her indian name was "Maske Ota Win" "Girl with many friends". She attended Fort Washakie school elementary through junior high, then Lander Valley High School and ended her senior year at Wyoming Indian High School. Fran attended the Native American Church and she was Sundancer. She enjoyed playing sports such as, basketball, volleyball and slow pitch softball, hunting, fishing, being outdoors, spending time with family, watching her grandchildren and children play sports, riding horses/relays, powwow dancing, singing and listening to music. She was known for playing independent sports, powwowing, and relays. She was a social butterfly, she was proud of her children and grands and was always excited to tell anyone about them and post on her social media accounts. She enjoyed traveling to support her loved ones. She was always taking care or helping others, as much as she could. She loved to tell jokes and laugh with everyone. She was a jack of all trades and wasn't afraid of a challenge, early in her life she worked as a dishwasher/driver for Warm Valley Senior Center. Fran was also a lifeguard at Chief Washakie Plunge, an operator for Shoshone Rock Crusher, and housekeeping for numerous places. Her most favorite job title was being a "stay at home grandma." She had a kind heart, was selfless, a beautiful soul, always adventurous.
