Frances Ruth Blumenshine

Frances Ruth (Lamont) Blumenshine, of Thermopolis, died in Thermopolis on July 23, 2014 in the Wyoming Pioneer Home. A Graveside Service has been set for at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in the Mountain View Cemetery, Riverton, Wyoming.
She was born on October 5, 1921 in Rawlins, Wyoming to James and Jenesena (Pedersen) Lamont.
Frances was raised in Lamont, Wyoming on her family's sheep ranch that included a general store / post office.She graduated from Rawlins High School 1938. She then married Daniel Blumenshine on February 18, 1940 in Riverton, WY. Farmed with husband Dan at Arapaho for 31 years.Lived in Greybull, WY for 25 years managing the Shoe Shoppe until 1984.Moved to Lander in 1999. She was also bookkeeper at Girard and Company for 12 1/2 years. Also a member of the BPO Does and Rebekahs.
Survivors include children, daughter Kathy Cunningham and husband Ron of Lander,Son in law William K Wimpenney of Eugene OR; grandchildren: Amanda Winchester, Scotti Weintraub, Rob Cunningham, Dortohy Wimpenney, and Julianna Clevenger; and Six Great Grandchildren; brothers, James Lamont of Denver, CO and Albert Lamont of Norwalk, CA.
Preceded in death by Husband Dan, Daughter Coleen Wimpenney, Parents, Great Grandson, and foster sister Christine Johnson.
