Florence Lorraine Redman

Florence Lorraine Redman, 81, of Ethete, Wyoming, died in Fort Washakie at the Morning Star Manor, on May 31, 2015. A Rosary will be Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 7:00 pm, in the St Joseph Catholic Church, Ethete. Visitation/Rosary will take place at Blue Sky Hall, Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 5:00 pm and Rosary at 7:00 pm; the Wake service will begin at 8:30 pm and the visitation will then continue at the family home, 457 Ethete Road. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, June 4, 2015 in the Blue Sky Hall with burial to follow at the Redman/Sage Cemetery, Ethete.

Florence Redman was born September 12, 1933 to Carlos B. Harris Sr. and Bertie Wolfrang in Fort Washakie, Wyoming.

Florence grew up in the Mill Creek area and attended school at St. Stephens and continued school at Central Wyoming College in Riverton, Wyoming. She worked for the Northern Arapaho Tribe for over 30 years. She became a Ceremonial Elder and adviser; she held that position for over 25 years. After the passing of her late husband, Vincent Redman Sr., she held the utmost respect for her Ceremonial grandsons and their families. She had 33 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Redman Sr.; sons, Vincent Redman Jr., Patrick Redman; daughters Leta Myrick and Lavonne Shoyo Roanhorse; parents, Bertie and Carlos Harris; brothers, Raymond Harris Sr., Marvin Harris, Lawrence Harris, Edwin Harris; sisters, Patricia Thompson, Belva Harris; and granddaughter Stormy Wallowingbull.
