F. Kathleen Dennis

Fern Kathleen Dennis died in the Wind River Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Riverton on November 6, 2013. A Funeral Service has been arranged for 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home, Lander. Per the family wishes there will be no visitation. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
Kathleen was born on May 5, 1921 in Nuckolls County, Nebraska near the community of Nelson, the daughter of Henry and Della (Webb) Lissman. The family moved to Lyman from Nelson, and then to Riverton in 1936. Kathleen graduated from High School at Riverton. She married Vernon Dennis at Riverton on March 25, 1941. Together they raised three sons and two daughters (Doris, Jerry, Lloyd, Linda and Daniel).
Kathleen and the family moved to Lander, Wyoming in 1967 where Vernon was already working for the Brazil and Simms Construction Company. Kathleen enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, and taught Sunday School at the Assembly of God Church in Riverton. She also attended classes at Central Wyoming College at Riverton.
Kathleen and Vernon enjoyed traveling, including a trip to the Rose Bowl Parade at Pasadena, CA. After Vernon retired, they enjoyed senior's bus trips to various locations. Vernon Restored classic cars. They took a trip in the restored Model-A Ford to California. They spent a number of winters at Quartzite, AZ.
Survivors include her children Doris (Earl) Reinert, Jerry (Barbara) Dennis, Lloyd Dennis, Linda (Don) Oman, and Daniel (Kelly) Dennis; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and her brothers Jr. Wayne (Phyllis) Lissman, Raymond Lissman, and James D. (Betty) Lissman, all of Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Vernon; her mother and father; her sister Evelyn Lovell; and one grandson.
