Evelyn Hamlin Rockstead-Mcgilvray

Evelyn Hamlin Rocksted-McGilvray died January 14, 2015 in Lander Wyoming at the age of 91. A rosary will be held at St. Francis Church in Thermopolis, Wyoming on January 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with a funeral prayer service to follow. Internment will take place in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Evelyn was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on November 11, 2023 to Emma and Alfred Jensen Sr.She married James McGilvray in 1988. She was a lifelong resident of Wisconsin until 2001, and then she moved to Riverton Wyoming. In 2012, Evelyn moved into the Westward Heights Care Center.

Evelyn received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree in 1964; she specialized in Pediatrics and Geriatrics. She continued in the field of nursing for over 25 years. Evelyn enjoyed painting, sewing, cooking, theater and travel.

She is survived by her sister Lillian Miller, son Clifford (Suzanne) Rockstead, daughter Norma (Thomas) Atwood, grandchild Cory (Rachel) Rocksted, grandchild Michelle (Jeff) Senters, grandchild Nichole (Jason) Weyer, Grandchild Brittany (Vince) Fankhauser, and grandchild Paul Atwood. She is also survived by her great Grand Children Tessa Jillian Rockstead, Rachel Manig, Gabrielle Manig, Hanna Weyer, Olivia Weyer, Seth Weyer, Camden Weyer, Annabelle Weyer, Alahna Jondal, Kayden Jondal, Fordon Fankhauser and Charlotte Hankle.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband James McGilvray who died in 1998, her parents Emma and Alfred Jensen Sr., and brothers James Jensen and Alfred Jensen.
