Elva Mae Laird, 82, of Lander Wyoming passed away on April 25, 2017. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
Elva Laird was born July 6, 1934 to Cecil Rae Jones and Ella May Westenberg in Hays, Kansas. She worked for the Wyoming State Training School (Wyoming Life Resource Center) for many years; and she retired from Protection and Advocacy at the age of 71.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Laird; granddaughter, Brennen Oliver; brothers, Jack Jones, Bob Jones and Jerry Jones; and by her parents.
Survivors include daughter, Jacquelyn (John) Oliver of Lander; granddaughter Hally (Chris) Potter of Rock Springs, Wyoming; brother, Fred Jones of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Ruth Adsit of Cody, Wyoming; brother, Alan Jones of Lander, Wyoming and numerous nieces and nephews.
