Elton Jay Barney, 63, of Riverton passed away on October 7, 2016 at Sage West Hospital in Riverton. The Wake and Evening Service will begin at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 11th at Roberts Episcopal Mission in Fort Washakie. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 12th at Roberts Episcopal Mission in Fort Washakie and a burial to follow at Sacajawea Cemetery.
Elton Jay Barney was born on February 7, 1953 to Perry Barney Jr. and Wynema Devinney Barney in Fort Washakie, Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Hiddo and Nanna (Isis) Barney; maternal, Charles Dick Devinney and Annie Moon Devinney;brothers, Harvey and Ted Barney; aunts, Mary and Rosemary Devinney, Annabell Devinney, Dorothy Nipwater, Alice Hill, Irma Brown; cousins, Angelina Wagon, Vida Stump, Lillian Brown, Louella Bigknife, Charlene Perry, Charles Nipwater, Wayne Nipwater, Cheryl Devinney; nephews, Buford Nipwater, Ryan McLeod, Shawn Ridley, Doug St. Clair; niece, Luwayne Hill, Faline Nephi and many other family members.
