Elizabeth A. "Betty" Collins died August 27, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, September 10, 2011 in the Trinity Episcopal Church of Lander. Cremation has taken place.
Betty was born on February 10, 1932 to Emily Lamoureaux Ward & Delbert R. Ward at Fort Washakie, WY. She graduated from FCVHS Class of 1950. Betty loved her pets, family, yard, and sewing.
She married Hugh Jones in 1957 and they had four children. Later they divorced. In 1965 she went on to be a dental assistant, and later married Dale Collins in 1968. Later they divorced and she left Salt Lake City, UT to come back to Wyoming for her family.
Betty is survived by daughters, Nancy Arbenz, and Phyllis (Rob) Irwin; son, Tom Jones; brother, Alfred(Audrey) Ward; aunt, Mary Kealer Applehans; grandchildren, Boyd Jones, Trenton Jones, Kaleb Jones, Melody (Levi) Wazelle; great-grandson, Daniel Wazelle, Zach Hudson, Linda Hudson; niece, Helen Ward; nephew, Allen Ward; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mike Jones; grandson, Robbie; nephew, Gary Hudson; son-in-law, John Arbenz; grandfather, William Lamoureaux; grandmother, Minnie O'Neal Kealer; grandparents, Dell and Susie LaJeunesse Ward; aunt, Irene Ward Wise; uncles, Alfred Dusty Kealer, Adolf Kealer; nephew, Delbert Ward; and many other family and friends.
