Elijah Asael Jones was born April 30, 2019 to Randi and Ammon Jones and their children King, Radames, Eden, Alheli, Kelise and Feivel. Elijah spent two and a half months being loved and cuddled by his parents and siblings. He smiled from a very young age and would light up whenever he saw his parents or any of his brothers and sisters. He also knew and loved his paternal grandparents, Troy and Joan Jones of Lander, WY as well as his maternal grandparents, Richard and Kathy Read of Cumming, GA. His living great-grandparents are Herminia Quanstrom of Boca Raton, FL, Gayle and Jim Herwig of Spanish Fork, UT, Tom and Carol Read of Ocala, FL, Lenet Hadley Read of Orem, UT, and Ray and Meeson Watts of Pittsboro, NC.
He was welcomed into our Heavenly Fathers arms on July 15, 2019. His cousins Gavin Jones and Helaman Jones, along with Great Aunt Janet Moon and Great Grandparents Barbara and Bruce Jones and Jack Quanstrom and many other loving family members who are long passed can now hold and care for and play with sweet Elijah while we here anticipate a joyful reunion with him.
In life Elijah loved to be held and was happiest when he had nothing on but a diaper. His favorite song was Fur Elise, which his mother realized in his first day of life when it soothed his crying. Undoubtedly he recognized the song from hearing it played repeatedly by his father and older brothers before he was born. Elijah also loved going to Indian dances with his family and would sleep soundly whenever Native American drums were played.
Elijahs funeral service will take place Tuesday, July 23 at 10 am at the Wind River building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a visitation from 9 am until 9:40 am.Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Lander, Wyoming.
