Eldon Keith Fryer Sr.

June 6, 1936 — November 19, 2016

Eldon "Keith" Fryer Sr., Age 80, of Lander Wyoming, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2016 with his family at his side. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service on December 2, 2016 at Mt. Hope Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.

Keith was born June 6, 1936 in Falls City, Richardson County, NE., to Lloyd L and Mary K. (Rhoads) Fryer. He was one of 10 children.

He graduated from Falls City High School in 1954, joined the United States Air Force January 31, 1955 and was honorably discharged November 28, 1958.

He married the love of his life, Barbara Ann (Humphrey) Fryer on March 25, 1961. To this union were born 4 children, Mitchell, Keith Jr., Lori and Lisa.

He was employed at Union Carbide in Gas Hills Wyoming, as a heavy equipment mechanic and operator, for several years until the closing of the mine. In 1987, he enrolled in and graduated from Wyoming Technical Institute as an ASE Certified automotive mechanic. He held many jobs throughout his lifetime, beginning work at the age of 10. His latest employment was at Lander Lube & Wash as a lube tech/mechanic, retiring in October 2015 due to failing health. His many hobbies included, hunting, fishing, and mechanics, spoiling his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Mary Fryer, his wife, Barbara Ann Fryer on November 19, 1999, his son Keith Jr, a granddaughter, Tishina, his sisters Elaine Hutson, Thelma Douglas, Jeanine Strecker, Mary Langley, Rebbeca Fryer and his brother Jerry Fryer.

He is survived by his children, Mitchell and Dori Fritz or Sinclair, Wyoming, Lori and Gary Willis and Lisa and Alan McOmie of Lander, Wyoming, 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and siblings Marcia and Randy Blanton, Carol and Tom Voyles, Lynn Fryer and Nancy Fryer, along with many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be mailed to The Keith Fryer Family C/O 685 N. 8th Street, Lander Wyoming or to a charity of the donors' choice.
