Edward Earl "Ted" Robeson
Edward Earl "Ted" Robeson was born February 24, 1928 in Lander, Wyoming to Elmer Anthony and Iris Luvae (Jones) Robeson. He attended grade school and High School – Fremont County Vocational High School graduating in 1946. Always interested in music, he played the clarinet and loved to sing. After graduation he worked with his dad in the concrete business for about 2 years. He later worked with an oil exploration company. He married Donna Sherlock in 1954 and they worked and lived in Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and Utah. They came back to Lander in 1957 and Ted worked for the Wyoming Department of Transportation, retiring in 1987. He was a volunteer fireman for 16 years, served on the board of the Pioneer Museum, was a part time agent for Farmers Insurance for 20 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was an avid sportsman who loved fishing, hunting, 4 - wheeling, snowmobiling, also gardening, his card club, and his family. He is survived by wife, Donna; children, Pegge Sanders, Stephen (Marilyn) Robeson and Nanci Hardy; brothers, Bob Robeson and Jim Robeson; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 4 – 7 :00 pm in the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home. The Visitation will continue on Monday morning, October 15, 2012 at 9:00 am in the First Baptist Church, 339 Sweetwater, Lander, WY 82520, with the Funeral Service to begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
