Eddie Ray Womack Jr.

Eddie Ray Womack, Jr. of Lander, WY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on May 30, 2025.

Ed was born on May 9, 1950 in Jackson, WY, to Eddie Ray Womack and Elvis Jewel Womack.

Ed grew up in Grand Teton National Park (Moose) and Jackson, WY.  He graduated from Jackson-Wilson High School in 1968. He went on to attend Central Wyoming College and the University of Wyoming. He met Ann Higgins and they married in 1971. They had 4 children together, Eddie Ray III, Christopher, Justin, and Kimberly. Ed finished his degree from the University of Wyoming in Wildlife Management. The couple first settled in Rawlins, WY when Ed started his career with the Bureau of Land Management. They later relocated to Lander, WY  where Ed and his family could be close to his family's ranch and work for the BLM. Ed and Ann later divorced. Ed retired from the BLM after 32 years of service.  Ed enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, working the ranch, leatherwork, woodwork, beadwork, and target shooting with kids and grandkids.

Left to cherish Ed's memory are his children; Eddie Womack III (Taya)  and children, Allison (Slade) Becker, Caitlin, Jaxon, and Jaxson of Lander, Wy. Christopher Womack (Jennifer) and children, Bryce and Joshua of Newcastle, Wy. Justin Womack (Katherine) and children Trenton, Kenneth, and Sofija, Lander, Wy. Kimberly Roberts (Justin) and children Emily and McKenzie of Riverton, Wy. Great-Grandchildren Greyson Dae Macy and Briar Ray Becker. Sister Mary Peterson of Cottonwood, AZ; brother Robert (Taffy) Womack of Beaumont,TX and nephew Troy Harris of AZ.


Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Womack and nephew Travis Harris.

As per Ed's request, there will be no services.
