Celebration of Life for Earl McWain will be held on December 15, 2018 at 1pm at the Monarch room located at Pronghorn Lodge a light lunch will be served.

Earl Greig McWain passed away November 30th, 2018 with his family by his side.

Earl was born September 30th, 1944 to Vernon and Dora June (Howarth) McWain in Lander.He attended FCVHS until 1963, he served in the Navy from 1965-1967.Earl married Virginia (Jinny) McDougall daughter of Pee Wee and Gladys McDougall on July 30th, 1966.They had 3 children Phillip, Lisa and Debra.After his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1967 they moved back to Lander where he worked for Cream of Weber Dairy until 1977.The family then moved to Jeffrey City where he worked at Western Nuclear in the mill until they closed in 1984.After moving back to Lander, he worked for FCSD #1 from 1985 until his retirement.

Earl was an avid bowler, he took great pride and enjoyment in having a beautiful lawn (mowing at least 2 times a week).He loved playing Yahtzee daily with Gertrude (Jinny) and spending time with his family.He enjoyed their social outings to the casino, and the outdoors, even if they just went for a drive.There wasnt an animal that he didnt love.

Earl is survived by his wife Jinny of 52 years, his dog Gibbs, son Phillip (Sara)McWain of Lander, Daughters Lisa (Ross) Harshbarger of Greely Co. and Debra (Dave) Reed of Lander.Grandchildren Jacob (Kala), Cody McWain, Cortney, Ashley, Brittney Taylor, Sarah Harshbarger, Autumn (Trent) Hulkovich and Joshua Reed.Great Grandchildren Paisley, Remington, Melodey, Audrey, and Adalynn. Brothers Raymond (Tish) and LeRoy (Karen) McWain, Brother in Law John (Norma) McDougall, sister in law Marie McDougall and several nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Vernon and Dora June McWain, mother and father in law Pee Wee and Gladys McDougall, brother Stanley McWain, brother in law Alex McDougall and niece Michelle McWain.

Memorial contributions can be made to Frontier Home Health & Hospice or Museum of the American West.
