Dorothy Mae Jordan died at her home in Dubois, Monday, April 11, 2011 at the age of 81. She was born November 12, 1929 to Fred & Ally (Sims) Meyer of Farson.
She was raised in Farson but also lived in Rock Springs, Casper, Crowheart, and then landed in Dubois in the mid 60's.
She worked for various businesses in town until 1971 when she found her niche in accounting & clerical work, under the training and watchful eye of Pearl Tarasovich. From 1974 through 1982 Dorothy was the Dubois town clerk. She also worked at the Interpretive Center, before it became the museum, the Senior Center and did bookkeeping for several Dubois businesses.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parent's; ex-husband, Bill Jordan; brothers, Bill Meyer of Pinedale, Kenny Meyer of Thermopolis, Ben Meyer of Rock Springs, Bob Meyer of Farson; and sister, Millie Williams of Dubois.
Survivors include sister, Ruth Chesnovar of Farson; brother, Jim Meyer of Woods Cross, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In her leisure time Dorothy enjoyed rock hunting, camping, picnicking, and poking around the mountain with friends.
