Obituary for DeVon Elaine Bodan
All who knew her would say DeVon Elaine Bodan had beautiful eyes and a smile to match. Sadly on November 19, 2013 at the age of 48 DeVon passed away at her home in Casper, WY.
DeVon was born Feb. 20, 1965 with her twin brother, Darren, to Sherry and Duane Bodan in Lander, Wyoming. DeVon graduated from Lander Valley High School and later Casper College where she graduated with a RN degree with honors. She worked att her adult life as a nurse. Her career began at Natrona County Memorial hospital, then Casper Orthopedics and was employed by Casper Surgical Center at the time of her death. She was known for always being kind and compassionate to her patients.
Over the years DeVon developed a love for travel, and especially enjoyed planning and taking trips with her parents and close friends. She also enjoyed taking care of her pets and yard and growing flowers of all types. She took great pride in making her home beautiful.
She is survived by her parents, Duane and Sherry Bodan of Lander, brother Darren Bodan of Casper, nieces Tahna Bodan of Independence, MO, Janea (Paul) Livingston of Wichita KS and their children Cayson and Dayton, nephew Trevor Bodan of Lee's Summit, MO her uncle Randy (Kerry) Stenson of Highland, Utah, her grandmother Ruth Andrews of Lander, and her dear friend Gina Kirchnavy of Casper. DeVon was much loved and will be deeply missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Joyce and Emerson Bodan, Swede Stenson and Kent Andrews.
Memorial services will be held at the Hudson's Funeral Home on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 10: am. DeVon's final resting place will be Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Youth Empowerment Council c/o Mercer Family Resource Center, 535 W. Yellowstone Hwy, Casper, WY or Lander Pet Connection would be appreciated by the family.
