David Gene Kitchin

David Gene Kitchin was born on March 16th, 1968, in Seattle, WA to Lester L. Kitchin & Corrine Compton. Dave went home to Our Creator September 11th, 2019 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY at the age of 51.
Dave worked a vast majority of his life, he spent 20 plus yrs driving bus for Arapahoe School district #38, Volunteer fire fighter for Fort Washakie Fire Department & Lander Rural.He attended Anaconda Job Corp, received his GED & continued his college education at CWC in Riverton, WY.
He was adopted by his Northern Arapaho Sundance grandparents, George & Eunice Moss. He has four adopted brothers Jesse, Shawn, Arlo (Skeeter), & Preston Moss. He also was adopted by Will & Kathy Davis.
David married Aline Crispin, they had two children, Austin & Kobee Kitchin, other children, LaRae Shakespeare, Shawna & Thomas Crispin. Grandchildren Bria & Billy Smith who been raised as his own children.
Dave went through many tribulations, which included medical complications. He never let his medical get the best of him, he with-held his struggles from his family & friends, he did not want pity nor have others look down on him. He always provided for his family no matter the circumstances.He was a joyful, friendly, strong-willed person & a fighter to the end. Just as he lived, he was able to help others as a donor to the Donor Alliance Organ & Tissue Donation.
Dave enjoyed company, socializing on Facebook, playing mobile Golf on his cellphone, going to the casinos even if it was just to eat & socialize. He thought highly of his friends & family, he would give you the shirt off his back, hed lend a helping hand when needed. He was an avid cook, always looking for new recipes.
He was a traditional Sundancer for both the Eastern Shoshone & Northern Arapaho tribes. He sang for Eastern Shoshone & Northern Arapaho tribes. He was a Fire Keeper for Northern Arapaho Sundance & a Fire Bug for Eastern Shoshone Sundance. He was a strong believer in his ceremonial ways, he was a help to many.
He is survived by the love of his life, Aline, his four sons Austin & Kobee Kitchin, Billy Smith, Thomas Crispin, three daughters Shawna Crispin, LaRae Shakespeare & Bria Smith, nieces Tyla Trumbull, Lexi Coando, nephews Logan Savage, Christopher & Charles Chavis JR, Bub Shoyo, Cory Sunrhodes, granddaughters Ava Star Kitchin, Arricka Perdasospy, April, Maria, Imogene, Myrtle Crispin, Rue Tianna Dewey & Morilyn Sunrhodes, grandsons Bradley Ferris, Hobson White, Charlie Watt, Thomas JR, Dominic, & Micah Crispin, Clark & Levi Cady, Zayden Sunrhodes, Marq Washakie & numerous other family. Sister in-laws Vonda Crispin & Vicki CHair, SPECIAL brother in-law John Crispin JR & Charles Chavis SR, mother in-law Ida Wise-Brown, father in-law Charles Brown, sisters Naomi Chavis, Toni Norman & Nancy Gilbert. Stepmom Jackie Kitchin. Special side kick pet dog Panda.
He is survived by the McAdams, Engavo, Warren, Osbourne, Lahoe, Enos & numerous other relatives we may have failed to mention.
He was proceeded in death by his father Lester L. Kitchin, mother Corrine Kitchin, brothers Russel Savage, Eric Kitchin, SPECIAL sister in-law Gloria Revere, nieces Tianna & Karen Trumbull, grandparent Lester Kitchin, SPECIAL granddaughter Ariah Crispin & other relatives we may have failed to mention.
Traditional wake was held September 13, 2019, at the family home at #8 Timbee Shogup Lane, Sand hills, at 7 pm with Traditional Services officiated by George Moss.
Interment was September 14, 2019 at Yellowcalf Cemetery at 10am at Ethete, WY with a carry-in luncheon at the family home, all per Daves request & last wishes.
