Darren Jay Lee, 43, of Lander, Wyoming died on June 8, 2018 at 23 Sand Hills Road, Lander, Wyoming. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Blue Sky Hall in Ethete, Wyoming. Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Blue Sky Hall with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m., followed by an all-night wake at 23 Sand Hills Road.

Darren Jay Lee was born July 16, 1974 to Anslem Lee and Mary Jean Spoonhunter in Lander, Wyoming. He worked for the National Guard Armory, received his C.N.A. license in 1994, worked for Morning Star Care Center, Westward Heights, and the Wind River Rehabilitation Center. He also worked on a seismograph crew, construction flagging, on a fencing crew, seasonal work in Idaho during the potato harvest for 3 seasons. He worked at the 789 Truck Stop as a clerk in Riverton, at the Little Store in Gillette, Wyoming. He graduated from Lander Valley High School in Lander, Wyoming. He also worked for Eagle Bronze in Lander, Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents; Frank Amos-Nellie (Tyler) Amos, Tom Spoonhunter, and Tillie Spoonhunter, grandparents; John Spoonhunter, Verna (Amos) Loneman and Charley Loneman, Joe Lee-Elizabeth (Peshlakai) Lee, June Ann (Amos) Yellowman- Everette Yellowman, and Leonard Amos, uncles; Tony (Tsosie) Lee, Robert Lee, George Lee, Robert Spoonhunter, Vaughn Spoonhunter, Thomas Spoonhunter, Wendall Spoonhunter, Orin Yellowman, Arthur Corky Yellowman, aunts; Alice (Lee) Bradley, Susie (Spoonhunter) Monroe, siblings; (Alice) Deann Lee and Duane Moss, June (Augustine) Benally, Charlie Augustine, and Byron White.

Survivors include his parents; Anslem and Mary Jean Lee, brother Anslem E. Lee and family of Port Orchard, Washington and, adopted parents Karen and Daniel CHair, children; Quentin Lee and Caitlin CBearing, Sierra Lee, Isaac Lee, granddaughters; Tyann B. Lee, Airyka J. Lee, Emiree Skye Tidzump and his wife Windy CHair Lee, and step-children Misty Richards, Leon Behan, and Madison Behan. His uncles; Jess and Harold Amos, Gordon and Ivan Yellowman, Herbert Augustine, Sr., David and Frank Lee, Harvey, Marlin, and Theron Spoonhunter, Tyrone Syrrell, Charley and Julian CHair, and Jim Oliver, aunts; Alvena Burton, Peggy and Anna Loneman, Dawn Spoonhunter, Tillie Jenkins, Alrita Talks Different, Mary Alice Addison, Willamette Surrell, Muriel CHair, Charlene Yellowfox, and JoEtta Brown, grandparents; Nancy Dice, Yvonne Amos, Caroline Produit, and Rita, other brothers; Vern Spoonhunter, Sr., Herbie Augustine, Jr., Everette Yellowman, Ronald, Brian, and Michael Lee from Idaho Falls, Idaho, George Lee, Jr. and, Jackie Lee from Gallup, New Mexico, other sisters; Verna (Wesley) Largo, Anna Fletcher, Darla Amos, RoseMary Loneman, Debra Lee, Shiela Lee from Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Roberta and Dora Spoonhunter, nephews; Anslem Aeryk Lee (who meant the world to him), and Darryk Hunter Lee, Herbert Augustine II, and Ferlon and Jawaun Willow, nieces; Whitney and Elizabeth Lee, Jackie, Jamie, Mya Lee and Nala Augustine and, Charley Ann Augustine along with relatives from Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, sisters, cousins, and grandkids from the Spoonhunter, Lee, Augustine, Loneman, Amos, and CHair families.
