Dansyl Fred Posey Jr., of Ethete, died at home. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the family home, 61 Lone Bear Lane, Ethete. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, in the same family home. Burial will follow at the Arthur Family Cemetery. He was born August 15, 1959 in Lander, Wyoming to Dansyl Fred Posey Sr. and Ruth Merle Arthur. He is survived by children Joshua Posey (Victoria), Krystal Posey-Whiteman (Dancing King), Terrance Posey. Step Daughter- Riah Shakespeare (Francis Jr.). Sister Iva Posey. Brothers Darren Posey, Bender Nacota, Uncles Ivan Posey, Ernest Posey, Wayne Arthur Sr., Henry Aurthur Sr., Aunts Rosey, Ernestine, Pauline, Ruby, all are Posey, Marian Scott, JoAnn Arthur. Step father, Dale Brown. Godson Keiran McCorley. God-daughter Tonya Brown Clair. Dansyl Fred Posey Jr. married to Vanessa Shakespeare from 1983-1993, divorced in 1993.
Dansyl participated in bull riding, horse riding, hunting and fishing. He worked as a carpenter, fencer and Wildland firefighter.He traveled to North Dakota and Colorado. He played basketball and rode bareback.He enjoyed the mountains and being at the casino. Dansyl loved watching basketball and football. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved watching his sons run and play basketball as Wyoming Indian High School Chiefs. Dansyl watched his daughter graduate and he raised his stepdaughter as his own. He loved everyone in his family, his mom and dad, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and all his grandchildren. He always had a smile.
Preceding him in death are Dansyl F Posey Sr. and Ruth M. Arthur. Grandparents Joe and Regina Arthur.Adopted parents Ervin and LaVerne Brown. Uncle LaMonte Arthur and Steven Arthur.
