Dale Randall Palmer, 87, of Lander, Wyoming died on February 26, 2018 in Lander. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Dale was born on May 21, 1930 to Harold and Isabel Palmer in Denver, Colorado. Dale graduated from Wheatridge High School and also from the University of Colorado. He then served in the U.S. Air Force as a Russian linguist during the Korean Conflict. Dale worked for the phone company for 25 years, working up to traffic staff manager. He was a member of Kiwanis and was the pancake master tor their pancake breakfasts. Dale loved to fish, but the highlight was his trip to Mazatlan where he caught a swordfish.
Dale married Roberta (LeClair) on December 28, 1968. They met at the phone company and came very close to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Preceding Dale in death were his parents, his sister, and an infant daughter.
Survivors include his sons Tex (Iva) LeClair of Ft. Washakie, Rich (Joanne) LeClair of Houston, Ken (Marvi) LeClair of Douglas and Jim LeClair of Tampa. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Aaron and Nathan LeClair, and Amanda (Martin) LeClair-Diaz; Joellee, Danielle, Zach, and Kayla LeClair; Brett (Leslie) and Adam (Sarah) LeClair; and Olivia and Eleanor LeClair. He was also great-grandfather to Emeri LeClair and Raef and Knox LeClair.
Memorials may be sent to a charity of the donors choice.
