Clinton Emery Akers Sr. was born June 6, 1936 to John Akers and Violet Perkins in Denver , Colorado . "Clint" passed away July 20, 2009 in his home in Lander.



He later met and fell in love with Phyllis M. Walters (Bartleson). They were married on June 25, 1977 in Northglen, Colorado.



He was an active member of the communities in which he lived. In particular he was a part of the Good Guys Rod and Custom Association, Wyoming Street Rod Association, National Street Rod Association, Colorado Dahlia Society, Experimental Aircraft Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Ancient & Royal Order of the Golden Dragon, and as well he loved the outdoors.



He is survived by: mother, Violet Perkins; son, Robert (Richelle) Akers and children, Trent, Trevor, Bobbilynn, and Schantelle all of Louisiana; step-son, Steven (Crystal) Walters and child Cody of Denver; one great-grand child, Alicia; sisters, Loraine (Bobby) Porter of Denver, JoAnn (Russell) Rider also of Denver.



He was preceded in death by wife, Phyllis Mary Akers; and dogs, Bonnie and Clyde .

A Memorial Service will be held by the family for everyone on Saturday, July 25, 2009 11:00am in the family home at 1850 Rodeo Drive , Lander, WY 82520.
