Clarence E. "Bud" Carpenter III died on Tuesday, April 13

at Lander Regional Hospital at the age of 74. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, April 17
th
, at Hudson's Funeral Home.
Bud Carpenter was born on August 30
th
, 1935 in Lander to parents Clarence E. Carpenter Jr. and Edna Dohm (Giessler) Carpenter. He was raised in Atlantic City and moved with his parents in 1953 when they purchased a cattle ranch near Lander. Bud graduated from Fremont County Vocational High School in 1953. He married Gaylin Drue Eden on June 2

, 1956 and worked the family ranch until it was sold in 1972. Moving to Lander he worked as a Master Carpenter and Building Contractor.
Bud enjoyed playing cards with his friends, fly fishing, rock hunting, and bowling in which he was inducted into the Wyoming Bowling Hall of Fame in 1994.
Survivors include his wife Gaylin Carpenter, daughter Connie King and husband Joe, son C.E. "Carp" Carpenter and wife Terry. Grandchildren Austin & Derrick Heil, Tyler, Brittney, & Thomas Carpenter, and five great grandchildren.
Mr. Carpenter is proceeded in death by his father Clarence Jr., mother Edna, brother Harry Carpenter and grandson Clarence Carpenter V.
