Claire E. Green was born on April 30, 1997 in Sparks, Nevada (Washoe County) to Timothy S. Green and Melanie A. Green (Venzor). She spent her formative years in Reno, Nevada. After moving back to Wyoming, she attended schools in both Laramie and Lander, Wyoming. She graduated from Lander Valley High School in May of 2015.
Claire was an exceptional scholar in school, taking courses in AP Chemistry and AP History. She was also a student athlete, competing in baseball as a young girl and basketball, volleyball and track as a high school athlete. Claire had many interests including animals, fishing, helping other people and music. One of her favorite places was the family cabin at South Pass. She learned to drive there at 12 and loved to fish the beaver ponds on Hermit Creek. Ms. Green also loved playing her trumpet in the band. She traveled with the Wyoming State Marching Band (twice to Hawaii and marching in the Macy's Day Parade in New York City). One of her biggest passions was simple road tripping. She loved to explore the outdoors in places like Government Draw and South Pass with her friends.
Claire spent most of her adult life working in the healthcare field, receiving her CFA license recently and taking care of clients in the home health industry. She was also passionate about adopting abandoned dogs and cats. Her smile was ever present and she had a wonderful sense of humor. Those will be missed the most by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Stephen Green and Richard Venzor and her mother Melanie Venzor. She is survived by grandmothers Barabara Green and Katherine Venzor, her father Tim Green of Lander, brother Cody Green of Littleton, CO and sister Kelsey Green (Hurzel) of Carson City, NV as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
