Christine Davey East

Christine Davey East, 73, of Lander, Wyoming passed away peacefully on March 17th, 2025 in Riverton, Wyoming. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Christine was born on December 20th, 1951 to Dudley Joseph Davey and Hazel Rasmussen Davey in Park City, Utah. She and her siblings grew up in an old school house in the Jeffery City area. There she attended grade school and junior high, where she was a cheerleader. She finished her freshman year in Jeffery City, and then moved to Lander to finish high school in 1969. She then met her former husband Michael East and they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Jessica in February of 1982. Christine was a very hard worker. She worked as a housekeeper at Bishop Randall Hospital, now known as Sage West Hospital, in Lander for around 38 years until she retired in 2015. In her golden years she enjoyed playing card games and telling jokes with her great-niece Brielle and great-nephews, Landon and Zayden. She was almost always singing and knew how to make anyone smile. Chris loved her family and enjoyed the times when everyone was together.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica East of Lander, WY. Her siblings, Skipper (Linda) Davey of Lander, WY, Marylou (Mark) Leonhardt of Logan, UT, Tammy (Marvin) Wiggins of Lander, WY, Sandra Davey of Lander, WY, and Kelly (Fred) Davey, of Lander, WY . Her nieces; Mindy (Michael) Clancy of Lander, WY, Yvette (Chris) Gothard of Riverton, WY, Angela Davey, of WI, Amanda (Philip) Lemons of Lander, WY. Nephews, Shaun Davey, Chad Davey, and Scott Davey of Lander, WY, Michael (Christine) Davey of Lander, WY, and Andrew (Jennifer) Davey, of Lander, WY. Great-Nieces, Brielle Fryer, Madison Clancy, Mckenna Clancy, Natalie Davey, and Abby Davey. And Great-Nephews Landon Davey, Zayden Davey, Quinten Davey, Zion Davey, Nathan Davey, and Virgil Lemons. Apologies for any missed relatives.

She is preceded in death by her mother Hazel Davey and father Dudley Davey. Her sister Georgene Gothard, her brothers Fred Davey and Michael Davey, and her niece Tiffany Davey.

Chirstine or as she was lovingly known as "Chrissy", will be greatly missed by everyone who got the chance to know the amazing woman she was.
