Charlotte Mae Majdic, 87 of Lander, Wyoming passed away at Cottonwood Creek Memory Care Center on Sunday, October 30, 2022 following a 2-year battle with dementia.
Charlotte was born on March 31, 1935 to Mildred (Gray) & Kenneth Thompson in Greeley, Nebraska.
Charlotte & Jack were married on June 5, 1955. They had three beautiful girls and loved raising them in their home and church in Hudson. She and Jack ran the Dairyland Drive-in and loved all the high school kids that worked for them. They would often take the kids under their wing. She and Jack ran the Valley View restaurant on the hill in Riverton that had a bowling alley. They created the cartwheel business opening their own building to make and sell them. She cherished her visits to Alaska to visit family. She also loved working at Svilars. Charlotte loved taking care of and helping to raise not only their daughters but also her siblings after her mom passed along with other kids who came into her life. She was the true meaning of the phrase "Care Taker." She was known to many kids as grandma or aunt Charlotte. She taught 4-H, loved the bowling leagues and bowling trips they took with friends. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends whether it was cards, sewing, painting, other crafts or just visiting.
She is survived by her three daughters, Delene (Lanny) Applegate, Teena Carchia & Karen (Bill) Mann. Five grandchildren, Jill (Bob) Johnson, Josh (Chelsea) Applegate, Nick (Amber) Carchia, Chris Carchia and Beau (Dyonne) Mann. She also had eight Great-Grandchildren, Jack (Erin) Applegate, Ashli Johnson, Taelyn & Sawyer Applegate, Berklee and Karter Mann, Brandon Drake and Trevor Johnson. Four great great-grandchildren, Breydon, Annabella, Averie and Grayson. Charlotte is also survived by seven of her siblings, Kathryn "Hitch" Venzor, Mary Runnberg, Harold "Hub" (Jolene) Thompson, Warren (Sherry) Thompson, Eugene (Phyllis) Thompson, Jeannie (Mike) Larsen, Bob (Georgene) Thompson and her sister-in-law Marilyn Jackson along with numerous other family members.
She is proceeded in death by her loving husband Jack Majdic, parents Kenneth & Mildred Thompson, brothers, Ed, Chuck and Walter Thompson. Along with her in-laws, Margaret Thompson, Dale Runnberg, Richard Venzor, John & Jeanie Majdic, John, Jerry, Carmen, Joseph, Mary Ann, and Julius Majdic and other numerous other family members.
Services will all take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Viewing and Rosary Friday, November 4, 2022 from 6-8pm. Funeral, Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10am
