Charles Edward (Charley ) Carpenter, 69, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 peacefully at home.
He was born August 2, 1948 in Glendive, MT to Edward D. and Mary Lou (Albright) Carpenter.
Charley was a 1968 graduate of Hot Springs County High School in Thermopolis, WY.
Charley was married to Judy A. Englehart in Thermopolis, WY on September 18, 1971.He proudly served 24 ½ years in the military including the U.S. Marine Corps and the Wyoming Army National Guard.He also devoted 28 years of his life volunteering with the Fremont County Fire Protection District, Lander Rural.He was an active member of VFW Post 954 in Lander, WY.He also worked for the State of Wyoming for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother and numerous aunts and uncles.Survivors include his wife Judy, his son James (Christie) and grandchildren Taylor and Aiden all of Brighton, CO, sister Connie Schaaf (Loren) of Glendive, MT, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charley enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family.
