Catherine Celene Trumbull

Catherine Celene Trumbull, aged 77, passed away peacefully in her home in Ethete, Wyoming on July 24, 2025. A visitation will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, July 25, 2025, at St. Joseph's Parish, located at 468 Ethete Rd, Ethete, WY 82520. Following the visitation, an All Night Wake will take place at the Family Home, 814 Ethete Road, Ethete, Wyoming, starting at 8:30 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the Blue Sky Hall, with burial to follow in the Yellow Calf Cemetery, Ethete, Wyoming. Catherine will be remembered fondly by her family and friends.

Catherine Celene "Cat" Trumbull of Ethete, WY started her early morning journey home on July 24, 2025 in the family home surrounded by her loved ones in Ethete, WY. She is forever going to be riding her Paint, Patches in the Heavens.

Catherine "Cat" Trumbull was born on August 1, 1947 in Fort Washakie, WY. She is the daughter of Clarence Hermes "Buck" Trumbull & Rita Anna Warren­Trumbull. She is the eldest of her siblings & was extremely close to her youngest sister, Gerry when she was born. Her Arapaho name was Nootei'eiti - Singing Tree.

She held her Arapaho beliefs & Catholic Faith very strong in her heart. She taught her family how to pray & forgive.

She believed to be buried within 5 days & her grave dug by hand, the family honored her last wishes.

She had fond memories of growing up on her dad's farm in Ethete from collecting farm eggs to riding horses, simply being with her family & all her cousins. She graduated from Saint Stephens School. She went on to Montana Business College and finished. She held numerous jobs throughout her lifetime but none compared to being that grandmother the one who shows for every event, every milestone. She loved every minute of that title especially being a basketball grandma she made every single game from teeny tots to watching her grandsons, Jayin Dean & Jarrick Game Trumbull winning State Titles. Her granddaughters, Savannah & Madisyn Arneach & grandsons, Skyzon Mitchell & Tasni Arneach excelling at their sports as well. Attending powwows to watch all her grandchildren dance. She found love in Indian Relays watching her granddaughter, Lexie Teton & her Teton family relay. She was the Rock of the family and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son, John & Aloysa (C'Bearing) Arneach & daughter, Hattie Trumbull. Sisters, Carol Mae Trumbull, Christi Lindevald, Darlene Bell, Cecelia, Francinda & Dianne Wallowingbull, Reva Tillman & Alrita TalksDifferent. Brothers, Shannon, Dale & Clarence Brown, Phil Warren, Harvey, Marlin & Theron Spoonhunter. Nephews, Ernie Brown (Rosie Trosper), Ambrose (Sam) Brown, Aaron Lindevald, Lloyd Pat Wallowingbull & Jordan Trumbull. Nieces, Keri Lindevald, Jonielle Trumbull (Keith Spoonhunter), Katarina Trumbull, Challis Brown, Bonnie Bell. Grandchildren, Jayin Trumbull & Lexie Teton, Jarrick Trumbull & Leighanna Shoulderblade, Skyzon Mitchell, Savannah, Madisyn, Tsani, Andre, Khaleesi & Jionni Arneach. Kylaya & Wade Spoon hunter, Takara Ferris, Surae, Marysa, Amara & Braylon Trumbull & Daniel, Aiyanna & Ayla Lindevald & Cassie lroncloud. Great granddaughter, Emriana Friday. Friends, Glora St.Clair & Julie C'Hair, Gloria C'Bearing & sister/friends Jeanette Wheeler and Laverne White. Her forever protectors, her grandson's heeler, Ice and his pitbull, Rocco. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Hermes "Buck" Trumbull & Rita Anna Warren-Trumbull.
